That is seriously cool! I really liked the idea of using google as a map for modeling houses. Are you going to model the cars too?

Re: I had been too quiet too long.

I managed to get the 3D Printer...but I will have to hold it off. I don't have the budget to get a projector as required for the 3D Printer. I might have to hold off the entire project, but who knows when Christmas comes! I might have to sell some of my hobbies.

Re: Happy Birthday TalkingTGauge.net

Happy Birthday TalkingTGauge! It had been awesome experience being here, seeing other people's creation. I'll see if I can stir up few more posts, but it's hard since I'm waiting for my 3D printer. My projects are basically frozen right now. However, on the old forum, I uploaded my layout progress. ...

The new JR 103 looks awesome! I hope they were "somewhat" cheap compared to the original one selling at staggering price of $80 for a set.

I had not printed anything over the summer, I can give Shapeways another try this weekend. I remember the cost was $7.50 or something...but it's the shipping that's expensive. $6.50 everytime

Got my new computer up and running! Even more powerful and faster! Also tested more brass etching! http://i61.tinypic.com/xp63vk.jpg My SD70M project box, how many models do you see in this box? http://i60.tinypic.com/1e11tj.jpg And...finally a alpha video of the very first test run. This is before ...

Re: Official 3 axle truck motor units!

I would love an E8 train. It looks like a perfect chance for Jesse to make a version of a "longer" from his standard F3 unit.

Or I could wait till these are released and I'll go and grab one to get the dimensions.

Also, I hope they would release 3-axis trucks/bogie for a "dummy" version.

I had been too quiet too long.

I had not done much progress with my SD70M locomotive. I'm just taking a break from it and I'm back in college. In meanwhile...I had bought a 3D printer called LittleRP, they had proven me that it can make high quality models in a small scale. (check Update #5 on Kickstarter and you'll see some mode...

Hello all, Humm...I ran into a small problem. My primary computer died, and all my work is on it. (I know that you can extract the harddrive and get the files...) However...the software I use...can not be transferred. I will be making a new desktop for me to continue my work and hopefully beg Autode...

Re: SD70M - Powered

Hello, Sorry for late reply, it went well. I will keep on trying again, to make the brass etching smoother and more sharp instead of wavy as seen. It fits well on the chassis, I'm nearly done! Just few more tweaking...then I can start focusing on the electronics. http://i60.tinypic.com/2emel4o.jpg I...

Re: T-gauge for sale

Darn! T-Gauge is really challenging. At least you had fun when they first started. Hopefully you will come back to it one day. You will never know when the Railway shop will add new trains!

I might be interested, but I'll wait and let other people go for it because this is a big lot.

It'll fill up the cracks, but after it dries...there will be less crack that is visible...then add more till it evens out.
